House Points: Gryffindor 0 Ravenclaw 0 Hufflepuff 3 Slytherin 0	It's several generations after the dark lord fell. Peace has reigned in the wizarding world. However, there have been several suspicious incidents taking place in both the muggle and magical arenas. The ministry, unused to having to deal with such strange happenings, must scramble to rally its forces. The new threat is misunderstood, and supposedly no one knows exactly who the culprit is or what he or she is doing. On a what was thought to be a diplomatic mission to Arabia, the minister of magic suddenly disappeared. He had taken some of his best aurors, including the department head, along with him. For some reason, the minister also felt the need to employ his head of magical law. All of these accessories are gone, too. In one single blow, the wizarding world's leaders and defenses have been undermined. Chaos ensued. Deprived of many of its senior members, the auror office elected a new head. Similarly, law brought younger leadership to the top. In the absence of the minister, though, things have begun to unravel. The minister was an efficient, fair man. People asked his advice and often placed great value in his judgment. Because it is unknown whether he is alive or dead, the ministry is reluctant to elect a new minister. The upper echelons of government are squabbling to determine who should be in charge, next. Because the minister was so respected, no one wants to oust him from office if there is a chance he still lives. Department heads have tried to work together to create a council of sorts. Things haven't completely fallen apart yet, but ministry organization is slowly beginning to collapse. Jobs are overlapping and the stress is beginning to tell on ministry officials. No one knows that there is a leak in the ministry. Somewhere, someone knows exactly what has happened to the minister and why. Someone may have even helped to plan his disappearance. Followers of this unknown threat (amongst members it is known only as 'the Red Circle') are scattered among the community. They live in magical villages and muggle neighborhoods. They work somewhere in the ministry and other magical professions. Their children attend Hogwarts. Their leader and his motives might be largely anonymous even to ordinary members, but this mysterious leader has promised power and riches beyond their wildest dreams. Now that the government is in a state of mass disorganization, the ministry is ripe for some kind of attack, either from within or without. The members of the Red Circle plan to try for attack from within, at first. If it worked for Voldemort, 200 years ago, it would certainly work for them. Now that the ministry is beginning to weaken, they plan to begin with the base and starting point of magical society: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry Potter and all of Rowling's original characters are long gone, but some of their descendants exist. It's up to your character to choose their side in the rising conflict. Strange things are happening at Hogwarts. Will your student character be a perpetrator, or will they try to stop the advancing darkness? Is your adult a spy or an honest ministry official? Come here to help or hinder the darkness that is growing again, for the first time in 200 years. The adventure starts now.	Year 2198
